How to care for your new windows

Investing in your new double or triple glazed windows is a worthwhile investment as it will increase the thermal efficiency of your home and therefore overtime save you money on your heating bills.

When exposed to wind, rain, pollution and other elements your windows will become dirty. Dirt shouldn't damage our windows but you will want to keep them looking their best. Maintaining your windows is essential to keep them looking their best for years to come and minimise damage from wear and tear, weather effects and other outside elements.

Below are our top tips for keeping your windows looking their best:

  • For general cleaning use a soft cloth and water with soap or washing-up liquid
  • To remove grease marks, use washing-up liquid with little or no water, then rinse with clean water
  • Do not use glass cleaner on frames
  • Do not use kitchen / bathroom cleaners

Tough Stains
  • For long-neglected uPVC use a uPVC cream cleaner
  • For long-neglected aluminium use washing-up liquid with little or no water, scrub with a stiff fibre brush and then rinse with clean water
