What exactly is roofline? Why does it matter?

Roofline is the term given to the boards that run along the edge of your roof. It can also be referred to as roof trim.

The Roofline protects the fabric of your home from the worst of the weather. Traditionally it was always made from continuous wooden boards. These wooden boards however need maintenance and repainting to keep them looking their best. This is why many homeowners are choosing to replace the wooden boards and old metal gutters with UPVc alternatives for minimal maintenance and a long term solution.

FASCIA BOARD

Fascias are the boards that fixed at the bottom edge of your roof.

Their main role is to:

  • Hold the bottom row of roof tiles in place
  • Provide a base on which to fit guttering
  • Stop the exposed ends of your rafters absorbing water, which can lead to damp and rot
Our fascias will never discolour, crack or flake.....saving you both time and money on maintenance.

SOFFITS

These boards fit between the fascia and the wall and less exposed to the full force of the weather.

They are designed to:

  • Protect rafter feet from rain and moisture
  • Seal so that birds etc cannot gain access to build nests
As well as sealing off the roof space from birds and other animals, it is also important that they allow enough ventilation to the roof space in order to prevent damp and condensation.

Our soffits offer ventilation allowing timber to breathe, preventing damp as they allow the circulation of air.

GUTTERING

Our UPVc guttering is crack and rust proof,  it can also be fitted with either innovative leafguard or the hedgehog system. Both systems are the simple way to keep your gutters free and flowing and are virtually indestructible.

Our fascias and soffits are virtually maintenance free.......GET A FREE QUOTE TODAY
